We are getting a very early start on our Christmas celebrations. This is my favortite time of year and I have decided to enjoy it to it's fullest. We have our decorations up (pictures to come later), our tree is all decorated (the first one that we've had in 7 years!) and I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping. I'm so excited about this year, because I think that Zeke really gets it and he is excited. He asks every day if it is Christmas time yet.
Yesterday we went to the mall and Zeke and Kai rode the Christmas train with their friend Colton. They had a great time and could not take their eyes off all the winter wonderland that was set up around the train track. Here are a few pictures of them enjoying Christmas time.

Talking and ABC's
Kai has been talking up a storm in the last month. He started speaking in sentences longer then 2-3 words recently and it is so fun to hear what he has to say. I'm amazed (and dismayed, because I hear myself parroted back to me) at what comes out of his mouth! Some of it is so funny and other things not so funny. Some of the things he say is so smart that I wonder how he knew what to say! Incredible the amount of information they absorb in such a small amount of time. Here is a video of him talking to Ari. He won't say much for the camera, but I thought it was sweet.
Zeke now knows his ABC's. I have been teaching them to him for about 2 years, but he would never say them to me (although I suspected that he knew them). The other day however, he just started singing them without any prompting or help. I was really surprised! Just goes to show they know a lot more then they let on. The first video is him singing them normally and the second is his rap version (I was trying to get him to sing it normally, but his way turned out much funnier!). He has a few pronunciation problems, but other then that he does pretty well.

We Love Our Brother!
Zeke and Kai are really liking their new baby brother. I have to keep them from killing him with kisses! At least they are affectionate, but it sure takes up a lot of my time trying to keep them off Ari. They do not like it when he sleeps, because they are not allowed to play with him! I'm glad that they find him such a novelty though. Hopefully they will still like him when he starts moving around and tearing up their things! Here are some of the latest pictures that I took of the boys.

Fun Car
Zeke and Kai got a fun new remote car last night from their Aunt Jane. They had a blast playing with it. Zeke loved driving it and Kai loved crawling around after it, so they made a great team. Here is a video clip of what our evening was like. They were so funny playing with that car!

Puss 'N Boots
Zeke and Kai love trying on my shoes. Their new favorites are my boots. I don't know how they are able to walk in them, but they do pretty good -- especially Kai. What silly boys I have! They keep me laughing all day.

Two Sweet Brothers
Kai has had a harder time adjusting to Ari's arrival then Zeke has. And although he has done well, we have had a few rough moments. I think that he is liking him more and more though and yesterday he was loving on him instead of trying to pull him off my lap! Maybe we are having a breakthrough

First Outfit
Today Ari had a doctors appointment, so he worn real clothes for the first time. He looked cute, but was not very impressed with them. Zeke and Kai liked the Winnie the Pooh bear that was on the front of the overalls. Ari was weighed at the doctors office and the weighed 10 pounds, 5.5 ounces. He had lost down to 9 pounds, 12 ounces before we left the hospital. He eats like a little pig, so I knew he would make up the lost weight fast!

In Memory...
Today marks the fifth aniversary of the birth and death of our firstborn son Eden. I cannot believe that so much time has passed since that day of such sorrow. But I have been so blessed in the last three years, that as I sit here remembering with tears, I can also rejoice in my greatest treasures...my three sons Ezekiel, Hezekiah and Zechariah.
This weekend Jonathan was laying bricks for our sidewalk. Zeke and Kai loved helping their daddy. Ari of course did what he does best -- sleep. Spending time working with dad is one of the best memories that I have. I'm so glad that my boys are getting to spend quality time building memories with their daddy.

Big Brother, Little Brother
Zeke helped me by holding Zechariah this afternoon while I threw away a diaper. They looked so sweet together that I took some pictures before I left the room.
I was gone out of the room about 30 seconds and when I got back Ari was gagging. I picked him up and he stopped and seemed perfectly fine. Zeke then said to me, "Ari was sad so I fed him one of my Skittles." Poor Ari was gagging on a Skittle! Zeke also informed me that "he would not swallow it, so I poked it down into his stomach." I would never have dreamed Zeke would have done something like that! I'm so thankful that Ari was none the worse for his first food experience, but I sure will keep a hawk's eye on that boy when he is whith his big brothers.
